My Story ..

It all started when I walked into the studio of a Super Producer and Engineer in 2014. I heard his name floating around Nashville, TN often, and nothing but greatness described the words attached to him. The day I walked into his studio, he said to me, “You’re Latavius Mulzac.”

I responded, “You’re Tim Hill.”

Almost immediately, Tim guaranteed me that the music I was about to hear from his studio, I wouldn't have a clue how he created it, what instruments he used, nor the sounds he chose to make his music. I simply responded, “Try me.”

That night, Tim introduced to me a world of music I couldn't wrap my head around. I was amazed at how incredible his music production sounded! Each snippet he played became more extraordinary as the night went on. Needless to say, he was right.. I had never heard music like his in my life!

In February 2015 at the age of 24, I decided I needed to pursue music full time. Growing up as a sheltered ‘church boy’, I’d never played any genre of music outside of Gospel music. But I decided to take a chance and audition for a Blues and R&B tour. Surprisingly, I made the cut, and in April, I quit my job as a Sales Coordinator at Aramark and traveled to Memphis, TN for intensive rehearsals. My job was to learn nearly 200 songs in two weeks before flying out to Rome. Having never grew up listening to this type of music, interestingly enough, I was named the Music Director. And for the next 5 months, I toured with the BB Kings Allstars Band; we performed in Spain, Italy, France, Rome, Greece, & Turkey.

After returning to the U.S., I remembered how I felt that night at Tim Hill’s studio and decided to give him a call on my way home from a gig. Not far into the conversation, Tim said, “God just told me to teach you everything I know.”

Late 2015, I began investing in recording studio equipment and training under Tim to become a music producer. Early 2016, I negotiated my first artist contract that launched Mulzac Music Productions. That year, Mulzac Music Productions co-wrote a song, “Christmas Memories” with artist Kelly Smith, and also began producing music in Belgium, Japan, LA, and NYC; producing Pop, Hip Hop and Kids Pop.

In 2017, I started my first piano camp called “Music Takes You Places” to give back the two years of experience to my community and provide the same training ground that originated at Tim Hill’s studio. We registered about 20 students from 2 different states and 4 different cities for piano lessons. And for the finale, we rewarded our MTYP piano-showcase winner with a recording studio session experience at Omni Sound Studios on Music Row, Nashville, TN. In 2018, we registered approximately 50+ attendees and expanded the camp to include Piano, Guitar, Bass, and Music Production lessons.

MTYP was designed to inspire and motivate a belief that a passion for music coupled with hard work can produce a prosperous life of opportunities, adventure and wealth. I want kids to have this opportunity at MTYP so they can discover the power of setting goals at an early age. Traveling the world globally was just a dream until I made it a goal! I’m compelled to empower our communities with success principles through the disciplines of music lessons that will transcend the limits of our current norm.
